SIXTY Sees: Sonámbulo’s “The Sleepwalker”

Those who were deeply impacted by the acid-infused sequence in Dumbo otherwise known as “Pink Elephants on Parade” will likely appreciate this more modern, pachyderm-free trip. Sonámbulo’s Theodore Ushev-directed video for “The Sleepwalker” proves to be a more high-brow affair, though similarly electric affair, inspired not by Disney, in fact, but by the poem “Romance Sonámbulo” by Federico García Lorca. The film has garnered nearly a dozen awards and has made it into 100 festival selections. We think you’ll enjoy it. Have a watch.
