It can be easy, in this day and age of digital, to forget the communication workhorse that served us for centuries: paper. A papermaker in Germany, however, isn’t quite ready to let the pulp art die. As one of the last to make paper by hand in Europe, Gangolf Ulbricht produces gorgeous, textured pieces used by customers who demand something a little more unique than computer paper. Director Daniel Egenolf went into Ulbricht’s Berlin studio to see how the tradition stays alive. Have a watch.
