SIXTY Listens: Róisín Murphy “Incapable”

  • Share

Róisín Murphy delivers a simmering, deep-house hand-clapper with “Incapable.” With the help of producer Richard Barratt (aka DJ Parrot), Murphy soars as the beat slowly builds. Her musings on never having had a broken heart begin unpanicked and matter-of-fact. By the end, though, the anxiety begins to spike, and the same statement becomes more doubting, more loaded. Eventually it reaches a fever pitch, becoming Murphy’s mini crisis on the dance floor. Have a listen.
