SIXTY Listens: Jai Paul “Do You Love Her Now”

Jai Paul left as quickly as he arrived. In 2011, the British singer/songwriter/producer released the decidedly peculiar (and decidedly danceable) “BTSTU.” It was fresh, new, revolutionary. The makings of an artist on the verge. But then, little followed, with the exception of 2012’s “jasmine,” a down-tempo hand-clapper that went on to have more than 21 million plays on Spotify. And now, here we are, some seven years later. Paul is back with “Do You Love Her Now,” a moody, simmering track that feels like a mash between Prince and D’Angelo. In other words: it’s good. Have a listen.
