SIXTY Listens: FKA twigs “Cellophane”

  • Share

FKA twigs, thrust plum into the spotlight during a very public courtship with Robert Pattinson, became fodder for a gossip mill one wouldn’t imagine the artist/musician ever had eyes for. The relationship dissolved in 2017, and twigs didn’t release much in terms of music. Now, seven years since the release of her debut album, LP1, and three years since the release of her last song, she’s back with a vengeance. Her latest track, “Cellophane,” is a sparse, soaring, and cutting breakup song, wherein she touches upon what it feels like to exist under the mass scrutiny of the public eye. Have a listen.
