SIXTY Listens: Ty Segall “Orange Color Queen”

  • Share

Ty Segall has been on our radar ever since 2010’s perfectly raucous Melted EP. Seven years later, he continues to evolve his personal sound. “Orange Color Queen,” off of his upcoming self-titled album (his ninth), is a mellower introduction to the artist, though not any less enjoyable. If you want a taste of the man in person, head to this weekend’s benefit show, where Segall will join No Age, Bleached (who we got a chance to interview last year), Vice Cooler, and a few special guests in an effort to raise relocation funds for Downtown LA’s iconic dive venue, The Smell. Tickets are available here. Until then, have a listen to Segall’s latest.
